Maha Student Centre

Featured Project

A gospel ministry to university students in Thailand.

The Maha Student Centre is a venue for serving university students and engaging them with the gospel.

Summary

Project Goals

  1. Successful students!

  2. Trusting relationships.

  3. Many gospel conversations with students from several least-reached people groups.

Who are we serving?
University students representing various people groups.

Are we engaging any ‘least-reached’ or ‘unreached’ people groups?
Yes. The majority of the students represented are Isan.

Learn more about this People Group at Joshua Project.

What is our ministry strategy?

  1. High-quality English tutoring leading to university students’ growth in a highly-valued skill set, and expanding their opportunities.

  2. A welcoming community environment where relationships and friendships can grow!

  • For everyone: English classes, baking classes, game nights, etc.

  • For students inquiring about Jesus: chronological Bible studies.

  • For students who are Jesus-followers: discipleship through fellowship, study, prayer, and community outreach.

Who is serving on our ministry team?

Our multi-national, multi-generational team is led by Arnie (left) - a Filipina on-site for ten years. Pastor Kowit (right, with his family) is a local Thai pastor serving with us.

We are praying for more members to join this team in the next year.

If you or someone you know might be interested in serving at the Maha Student Centre (Short-Term or Long-Term) you can inquire with no obligation!

How is the Student Centre making a difference?

One student shares:

“When I first came to the Student Centre I was not interested in Jesus. I enjoyed speaking English, as well as the games and snacks.

“One Sunday after a Bible talk, Pastor Kowit invited us to believe, and I put my trust in Jesus. I have continued studying the Bible and was baptized last fall.”

God is at work!
