Do you remember the parable that Jesus told about the kingdom of heaven and the distribution of the talents? You will find it in Matthew 25. The story begins in verse 14(NIV): “Again, it will be like a man on a journey, who called his servants and entrusted property (talents) to them.” Later on in the story, the man returned from his journey and asked each servant to give an accounting of what they had done with their talents. Two servants invested their talents wisely returning a two-fold increase. The third servant hid his talent and did not return any gain to the man. The man then demanded that this one talent be taken from this final servant and be given to the first servant. (Read the full story in Matthew 25: 14 - 30)
